Documentary Short - Finding Empathy: A Glimpse Into the Life of a Paralyzed Surfer
The documentary short examines the role of empathy in today’s society by taking a look at the story of Jesse Billauer and the founding of his organization Life Rolls On, an organization dedicated to helping adaptive athletes realize their dream of surfing. The documentary short won Audience Choice and Best Editing at Pepperdine Reel Stories Film Festival; Best Picture at Pepperdine MFA Diversity and Inclusion Film Festival; and First Place for Broadcast Feature Story at ACP Clips & Clicks Contest.
